Just in case you are not aware of what blue light is...put plainly it is a type of light that is emitted from various sources that once visually seen tells your brain that it is time to be awake. A long long time ago the only source of blue light was from the sun. When the sun was up it meant that you should be awake. When the sun went down you would no longer be visually exposed to the blue light that was being emitted from the sun and you would begin to go into shut down mode and go to sleep for the night, thus giving you a well rested night of sleep. When the sun came up in the morning the cycle would begin all over again.
Fast forward many years and tons of technology later...we immerse ourselves with television, cell phones, laptops, and the like. Well those gadgets and gizmos that we find so helpful all emit blue light. So where these items are helping us be organized, functional, creative, or just an outlet to relax are actually causing our natural cycle to be disrupted. We go to bed at a normal time playing games or texting or watching a movie and the blue light that comes from these electronic gems are actually reducing our bodies from being able to wind down and get a good full night of sleep.

As a child I used to love spending hours in the deep snow during the winter months. Making ice forts and even attempting to make an igloo. I have been using a new hot cocoa by Tootsie Roll...it is a Charleston Chew flavor hot cocoa. When I drink this cocoa it takes me back to those years gone by when I would spend hours in the snow just being a creative little boy. This Charleston Chew flavor hot cocoa has a wonderful taste of the Charleston Chew treats and rich hot cocoa. What is nice is that it doesn't have an overpowering sweet candy taste. From playing with the size settings I have found that by selecting a smaller cup size will make the cocoa even richer in taste. I personally like to add a dollop of whipped cream into my cup prior to brewing.

They box even has a nice dispensing area that simply punches out so you can take out K-cups as needed and not have to worry about them making your cabinet all messy.

Coffee, Tea, Hot Cocoa oh my...There are so many choices, what is your get up and go or a soothing way to chill and relax? With back to school in full swing a lot of people think of something orange that grows in the garden and how they taste with spices added to them to make a warm comforting drink. Not in this house. Back to school means time for Hot Cocoa till spring.
Don't get me wrong I love coffee in the morning to get me up and get me moving around. But when I want to relax and just feel comforted on a cool fall afternoon...hot cocoa is where it is at. And, as much as I like it my wife absolutely loves a good hot cocoa. Of my two children only one really drinks hot cocoa regularly. This year we had the opportunity to try a new Junior Mints Mint flavored hot cocoa by Tootie Roll. I received a 40 count box of K-cups in the wonderful Junior Mints flavor. There are a couple of nice features about this box and the mint flavor of this item that I wanted to tell you about.
First of all the box at mentioned is a 40 count box which for me and my family is about a month supply, of course this depends on craving and desire levels for hot cocoa. The box has a nice punch out area so the box can be displayed on your counter so you can easily grab one and pop into your K-cup machine. The display style box is nice because you can see how many are remaining in the box so if you have to order more you can before they run out. Our rule of thumb in our home is if there is one level of K-cups just covering the bottom of the box with no extras piled on top, then it is time to order. This was a method I discovered worked for me for my coffee K-cups. However we do it this way because I limited cabinet space in my kitchen. If you have the available space you may want to keep and extra box in the cabinet and once you pull that one from the cabinet then order another to replace it.
The next and best feature of this hot cocoa by Tootsie Roll and the reason you would even want to try it...is the flavor. This Junior Mints flavored cocoa is not an over-powering mint flavor. Another words it is not like taking a handful of junior mints and popping them into your mouth. This cocoa is just the right blend of mint and cocoa. The chocolate taste of the cocoa is dominant with a nice subtle junior mints accent. This flavor which can easily be sipped all year long in my opinion would be best during the fall. I can see myself sitting on my front porch watching the leaves fall while sipping a cup of this wonderful Tootie Roll Junior Mints Mint Hot Cocoa.

It is so nice to be able to listen to your favorite music just about anywhere. And it is also nice that our technology now allows us to do so. I can travel down the road of my memory and remember carrying around a big ol boom box for portable music. Carrying that boom box around sure was cumbersome and expensive to operate especially with 8 "D" size batteries in it that needed to be changed every couple hours. Well gone are those days and now we can enjoy our favorite music selections easily with our phones, mp3 players, and a speaker like this AncordWorks Water Resistant Bluetooth Speaker. This speaker charges in a couple of hours and has an approximate 12 hours playtime that varies depending on volume level while listening.
This little speaker which is just under 4 inches by 4 inches by approx 2 inches thick and a bit over a half a pounds can really be used just about anywhere. Besides the terrific sound I like a the many features this little speaker has packed into it. It has two silicone rails on the underside to help keep it from sliding around on a surface. It also has a four button control panel that is great for easy operation of the speaker. It has a simple port for charging and a 3.5 aux output if you choose not to use wirelessly. What is real nice is that it comes with not only the USB to Micro USB charging cord, but also a 3.5 aux cable just in case you need one. As shown in photos besides the ports and control panel you will notice a small hole in the bottom. This hole is actually a tripod mounting hole.
Here is a photo of the front and back on a tripod. A couple of other nice features I like about this speaker by AncordWorks is that it has a carrying strap and that it is constructed out of a very durable impact resistant material. It is a combination of hard body plastic and what feels like silicone. I saved one of the best feature for last and as the title gives away this speaker is water resistant. It is certified IPX7 rated (can be submerged in 1 meter of depth in water up to 30 minutes). So this means you don't have to worry about the speaker getting wet whether pool-side or in the shower.
