That doesn't mean gob it on, it just means put it on thick enough so you cannot see your skin underneath. In particular you may want to ensure that it is a little thicker in the area that you are going to remove the strip when it is dry. This way you have a good durable piece to pull when you want to remove mask. It more or less gives you something substantial to grab when you are ready to remove.
When putting on squeeze a dab onto the supplied applicator and paste It into your trouble areas. Work it around to cover your concerned areas and reapply to applicator as needed. It is best to wait until the entire mask is dry before attempting to pull off. This product is good for small areas as well as entire face.
